With some new year re-structuring and some staff changes at Lakeside, I am pleased to release some exciting employment opportunities within our Recreation Centre.  Our Centre has been growing steadily over the past 10 years and we are looking for the right people to help this continue into the future.

While our Centre operates across a broad range of recreation areas, we are a specialist basketball venue, affiliated with Basketball WA.  Three of these new roles are focussed on taking our Basketball Programs to even greater heights, with the fourth role being in administration and working across all areas of operation.

Referee Coordinator Role

7.5hrs per week

Overseeing all aspects of Refereeing at Lakeside, the coordinator will be responsible for rostering and development of all Lakeside Basketball referees.  In recruiting and developing referees, the coordinator will be committed to the vision of providing excellent referees for all basketball games.  Our Referee Coordinator will be committed to the Vision and Values of Lakeside and will recognise the important role referees have in creating a positive culture and environment for Lakeside Basketball.

The Coordinator will be familiar with the Basketball WA Referee Development Pathways and will have the ability to create a development pathway at Lakeside, which compliments the existing BWA structures.  Through excellent communication and teamwork skills, the Referee Coordinator will partner with our other staff to ensure a seamless operation across our basketball competitions and programs.
